About Meredith Williamson, J.D.
Meredith Williamson is the managing attorney of NW Estate Law, LLC, a law firm in Portland Oregon. She focuses on estate planning, probate, trust administration, and elder law including guardianship, conservatorship, Medicaid, and long-term care planning. Prior to this, she co-owned and managed a company dedicated to helping seniors and their families find resources. She combined her knowledge of senior services with her law degree and started her own law firm.
Providing resources and education is important to Meredith. She participates in a free legal clinic at a local senior day care center and has given dozens of talks to organizations that work with seniors, including the Oregon Health Care Association and Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon. She has also worked closely with the Oregon Senior Referral Agency on Oregon House Bill 2661, which focuses on protecting seniors working long-term care referral services.
Meredith is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Oregon State Bar, and California State Bar. She is the legal editor of the Oregon State Bar’s 2012 publication, Legal Issues for Older Adults, and a contributor to the Oregon State Bar’s podcast, “Oregon State Bar LegalLinks,” and TheSeniorList.com. She is a board member of the Senior Provider Information Network. Meredith earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law.
